Fourth Annual CathARTic show bringing Hollywood Horror to the Heartland!
CathARTic Art and Film Events and the 20th Century Center proudly present Friday Nightmares, our fourth annual Halloween Art Show and Short Film Expo.
This show, which opens on Friday, October 31, 2008, is the inaugural event for the recently formed company, whose founder, Matt Orsman, had been previously engaging in the events part time.
Come relive your youth at CathARTic's Inaugural ZOMBIE PROM! Come in your best afterlife finery, and get in touch with your inner Boogie Man! There will be dancing, prizes... Get your photo taken with your favorite Boil or Ghoulfriend! We may even crown Prom King and Queen of the Underworld!
Dancing not in your bones? You've buried all memories of High School? There is still plenty to do and see!
We have booked the San Francisco based Zombie Dance Troupe "Living Dead Girlz," featuring Fangoria™ Spooksmodel Shannon Lark, whose parody film "BRAINS" is rapidly approaching the 2 million view mark on YouTube, to perform for you, plus we're proud to have a screening of the local classic DARKNESS, courtesy Barrel Entertainment, 13th Dream Entertainment, and filmmaker Leif Jonker.
Plus we will be announcing information on the first of our short film contests, and our planned 2009 event line up!

Net Proceeds for the event will be split equitably between RAINN: The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network, and Wichita Film Festivals, Inc.
But don't think we've forgotten the roots of our event — the art show!
The theme of the art show this year is "Witch-ita: Hollywood Horror in the Heartland!" with special guests Brian Allen, Sherry Carpenter, Mark Clarkson, Pamela Clarkson and many more! Once again a portion of all art sales goes to the Wichita Film Festivals, Inc.
But we can only do this with YOUR help. Your advrtising and donations can make all of this possible. Please feel free to contact Wade Parsons or myself to see how you can help bring Hollywood to the Heartland, and put the "Witch" back in Wichita!
So stay tuned, if you have any questions, drop me a line, and expect regular updates!
Thanks again!
Matt
