Friday Nightmare EVENTS
All guest appearances are tentative and subject to change.
The Friday Nightmares experience continues on Friday, February 13, 2009, and will continue several times throughout 2009! Included are events such as...Master's Circle Forums
CAFE will host a series of public forums with professionals in the motion picture and arts industries, including actors, writers, directors, special effects designers, sculptors, illustrators and more. These forums, which also allow for audience interaction with the guests, will be supported by live performances and film screenings of either the guests work or of films that inspired them.
WHo may the guests be? We’re talking to such luminaries in the horror field as fan-favorite actress Tiffany Shepis, Best Selling Author Max Brooks (also the son of Mel Brooks and Anne Bancroft), The president of Troma Films and creator of “The Toxic Avenger” Lloyd Kaufman, aclaimed independent filmmaker Mel House, Grindhouse specialist Jeff Chitty, the amazing filmmaking husband and wife team of Timothy and Jennifer Friend, and many more.

Friday Nightmares Short Film Contest!
Are you a budding filmmaker? Then you will want to be sure and enter our short horror film contest! Starting in November, you'll be able to enter your original horror project of 25 minutes or less... and we're giving away prizes!
The first is the Vox Populi award, and will be chosen by the general public via www.Terrorfeed.com. Internet users may vote on each film no more than once per day.
The second is the Judges Choice award, and will be chosen by a juried panel of judges, made up of selected professionals and lay people by the CathARTic Board of Directors (To Be Announced).
Each film will be judged solely on its own merits. We only accept original narrative productions of a horror, suspense, or thriller nature. Documentaries and works of non-fiction related to the horror genre ARE acceptable for submission. Content and/or rating is not an issue (though we will not accept any hard core XXX adult material, or any films that feature animal cruelty and/or any depictions of actual torture/death).
